HELGA. Human Osteoarchaeology
Archaeologists study the lives of humans in the past, and the study of human remains is the most direct way to learn about their experiences. This course will introduce students to the study of human remains in archaeology, from excavation to laboratory. It will cover topics such as human skeletal anatomy, sex and age assessment, identification of general skeletal pathologies, human remains ethics, and an introduction to scientific methods in bioarchaeology.

Students will come out of this course with a general understanding of human remains in archaeology that is useful in future  studies or careers in archaeology and related fields.
