Content

The course will initially provide an introduction to classical Qur’anic studies, the origin and development of the classical Qur’anic interpretational streams, and to the study of the Qur’an in ritual.

The main part of the course will be devoted to the study of the Qur’an as viewed, discussed and interpreted in the Muslim World in the 20th and 21st century.
