Japan Studies Content Course with Language-CBS (F25)

Bachelor courses in Japan Studies for CBS-students 2022

The focus of this course is twofold: 1) introducing a broad range of themes related to Japanese politics, economy and society, and 2) continuing to stimulate and learn the Japanese language from a content-based approach. The course comprises classes taught in Japanese focusing on enhancing the students’ reading and oral communication skills, and lectures in English about Japanese politics, economics, and society including relevant theories, methods, and debates.

1200 standard pages of scientific literature and 30 standard pages of material in Japanese distributed across 2-4 sources set by the examiner.

This course requires skills corresponding to Japanese Language from Programme Curriculum for CBS students 2022.

Undervisningsform

Lectures, group work and exercises. The teaching may include the presentation and discussion of academic literature, as well as reading, translation, and analysis of materials in Japanese and interaction in Japanese.Lectures and class instruction with active student participation.
