NKEB24002U Sustainable Chemistry
The course will give an introduction to green and sustainable chemistry. This will be done by lectures and mandatory student paper presentation. Topics will include:
- Atom economy
- Wastemanagement and Prevention
- Measuring and Controlling Environmental Performance
- Green catalysis and green solvents
- Renewable Resources
- Emerging Greener Technologies and Alternative Energy Sources
- Designing Greener Processes
The student is expected to aquire:

- Oral examination, 20 minutes (no preparation time)
- Type of assessment details
- The exam is oral. Each student will present a scientific paper in sustainable and green chemistry that they had received 2-3 days in advance. This followed by general examination in the course content.
- Exam registration requirements
Each student must have either individually or in a group have presented a scientific paper in a satisfactory manner.

Same as the ordinary exam.
Students who do not fulfill the requirement of having presented a paper while following the course must present an additional scientific paper at the reexamination. This paper is selected among those presented during the block.
