Kursusindhold

In the early 21st century, listening to, making, and distributing music is inextricably intertwined with our lives and our digital networks, tools, software, and commodities. This course will provide the framework for your BA project related to these contemporary practices and lifestyles around music and sound.

In the sessions of this course, we will discuss how to structure the writing of the BA thesis, how to critically read the research literature, strategies for literature searches, and how to identify areas of research in which your project might be situated.

The primary goal of this course is to help you define your research topic and write a clear problem statement that will guide you throughout the writing of your BA thesis.

This means that your interests, your questions, your desire to learn more about specific areas of research or about particular sets of academic writing and research skills will shape the course.
