The module aims at providing the students with the kowledge and competences necessary to understand the rationale and evidence for the design, implementation and evaluation of interventions in sport, exercise and health. A cross-disciplinary approach will be taken in order to provide students with a critical awareness of why interventions are employed, the evidence for their success, design and implementation of interventions in sport, exercise and healthcare settings, and insight into the rationale and methodology of evaluating intervention outcomes. |

Criteria for exam assesment
Description of criteria for the grade 12:
- The student has demonstrated an in-depth and critical analysis of the relationship between evidence and practice in sport, exercise and physical activity interventions in both the written assignment and the oral examination
- The student can present their evaluation framework, theoretical standpoint, study rationale and justify their selected methods in a concise and scientifically robust manner
- The arguments and narrative within the written assignment are clearly and critically presented in relation to a range of relevant scientific literature and evidence
- Using a sociologically-informed, evaluative lense, the student shows the ability to select, disseminate and orally summarise the key evaluation findings from their selected intervention, together with demonstrating linkages with other settings.
- The student show a clear ability to utilize their sociological imagination in their oral presentation to critically evaluate key research findings and their relevance within their chosen evaluation framework
