The central theme of the ”Limitations for human performance” ph.d. course is to gain in depth knowledge about current theories of how human exercise performance is limited. Focus will be on oxygen transport capacity and manipulation hereof in humans; muscular fatigue mechanisms studied in rodents and humans as well as impact of the prevailing environment with special regard to heat and high altitude.
