AANK13518U The anthropological project: Anthropreneurship
Through small-scale anthropological projects the course seeks to share light on the “sharing economy”.
With a license to make an impact the students will dig into concrete cases in the “sharing economy”, and here discuss the “do´s and don´ts” of for example the marketplace 2.0, the maker movement, collaborative consumption, circular economy and open innovation.
The course will flesh out concrete aspects of the “sharing economy” with more traditional concepts in the anthropological repertoire, such as exchange, consumption, materiality, entrepreneurship, power and design.
The course will be facilitated in a hands-on process of “sharing”, and the students will experiment with collaborative and engaging methods and “mindsets” inspired by design and organizational anthropology.
The small-scale collaborative projects will furthermore come together in an on-going discussion/formation of the anthropological project: anthropreneurship.
Towards the end of the course the students will be able to:
design an anthropological project according to concrete case material.
identify and apply ethnographic methods in project development processes.
analytically engage with relevant concepts and practices in relation to the “sharing economy”.
translate abstract insights into concrete deliveries.
critically reflect on the application of anthropology in project development.
