NSCPHD1229 Cube complexes and groups
The theme of the course is CAT(0)-cube complexes in geometric group theory and their recent amazing impact in low-dimensional topology. The lectures are intended for non-experts and will start at a very basic level. The goal of the course will be to give the participants a good introduction to groups acting on CAT(0)- cube complexes and an outlook on some current research applications. The program will consists of three lectures series providing an introduction to CAT(0)-cube complexes, special cube complexes and median spaces.
