The aim is to introduce basic machine learning algorithms (nearest neighbor, naive Bayes, perceptron; semi-supervised learning and learning under bias) and their application to cognitive science problems. The course will cover relevant research literature in the following areas: language, learning, vision and memory/attention. Throughout the course, one or two reading groups will be responsible for presenting a relevant paper. All reading groups are expected to submit two clarification questions and one open research question for each article.
