HENA03625U English - Free topic: The Vietnam War in History and Memory
Volume 2014/2015
Content
There is much to learn
from wars and war narratives. The battlefield in the domestic
sphere rivals and sometimes surpasses the fighting on foreign soil.
This class examines the history and memory of the American War (as
the Vietnamese called the Vietnam War) by using history, literature
and film. Each class includes a film clip and will be conducted in
seminar format with discussion of the assigned texts. Students are
required to make a 10-minute PPT presentation on a subject agreed
upon in consultation with the professor
