This term the shared project concentrate on the theme: ‘sensuous spaces in cultural analysis’.

The course will focus on the ways in which senses, performativity and creativity can work as both objects of study and analytical tools for cultural analysts. The emphasis is on what happens when different theories of and analytical approaches to culture and society are applied in specific fields of interest. What are the analytical implications of approaching a space, a technology, a piece of art, or other, through the concepts of the sensuous, performed and improvised, and how do we study such fluid objects in cultural analysis?

Classes consist of a combination of lectures, seminars, student presentations and group exercises.
