Content
Achieve an understanding of the significance of statistics on own science. Fundamental understanding of statistically based conclusions, data structures and statistical methods. Be able to extract information from statistical software, formulate statistical conclusions and calculate sample sizes in connection with the planning of studies. Introduction to statistical software.
Learning Outcome
At the end of the course, the student shall be able to:
- Test simple descriptive calculations and descriptive plots
- Discuss statistical concepts such as p-value, regression, standard deviation, standard error, test, correlation, median, mean, boxplot, level of significance and statistical interaction
- Discuss the results of simple statistical analyses
- Test simple statistical analyses by use of statistical software
