The course covers laboratory animal diseases, health problems and health monitoring.
Learning Outcome
The course covers laboratory animal pathology and health needed for qualification within animal experimentation on FELASA category D level.

Having finished the course the student will have the following:

- principles of health monitoring in laboratory animal colonies

- descripe microscopic and macroscopic pathology of laboratory animals
- diagnose relevant pathological conditions in laboratory animals
- understand laboratory animal health reports

Most theory will be covered by self study, but it will be supported by two days of theoretical and practical teaching, and 10 sets of weekly on-line exercises.

Type of assessment
Written examination, 4 hours under invigilation
The examination is an online written examination on 4 hours. Questions are presented on a precise time and answers must be returned at a deadline four hours later. The participant can take the exam at any place.
