NMAK13015U Modeling and GAMS (GAMS)
Volume 2013/2014
Education
MSc Programme in
Mathematics-Economics
Content
Modeling large-scale optimization problems, implementation and solution in GAMS.
Learning Outcome
At the end of the course the student should have:
- gained knowledge of large-scale practical opmization problems, relevant mathematical models, and suitable solution methods;
- acquired skills to comprehend and sort data for large-scale optimization problems, present a correct problem description based on data, formulate linear programming models for large-scale optimization problems, both with continuous and integer variables, implement and solve such problems in GAMS, and analyze the solutions;
- obtained competences within formulation and discussion of mathematical models for large-scale optimization problems, implementation and solution of such problems in an efficient way by use of the optimization system GAMS.
