Lecturers
VIP staff at the Department of Biology and the Natural History
Museum of Denmark at the University of Copenhagen. All employees of
the Department of Biology and the Natural History Museum with a
minimum of a PhD degree can serve as a supervisor (this also
applies to employees on external funding). There must always be a
professor, associate professor or assistant professor who has
overall responsibility. Professors, associate professors and
assistant professors at the Department of Biology and the Natural
History Museum can serve as examiners. Post-docs can act as
examiners, but only if the professor, associate professor or
assistant professor, who has overall responsibility for project
supervision, is present and, possibly even, participate in the
examination, and together with the examiners are responsible for
grading the project.
If the project is made at an institution other than the Department
of Biology or the Natural History Museum, there has to be both an
external supervisor employed at the host institution and an
internal supervisor employed by the Department of Biology and the
Natural History Museum.
