Content
- The course aims at guiding the participants through all stages in a scientific work process:
- Planning, constructing hypotheses and statistical design, literature search.
- Experimental work.
- How to write a scientific paper. You can either: 1) perform an experiment on your own, with our assistance when needed 2) work on your own previously gathered data 3) work on data provided by the teachers 4) make a mini review based on scientific papers.
- You can work in groups or individually.

- To conduct relevant literature search
- To articulate a scientific problem
- To articulate questions and hypotheses to be tested experimentally and possibly falsified
Skills:
- To critically evaluate literature, especially with respect to the quality and relevance of hypotheses and whether conclusions agree with hypotheses and results. (Is it Science?)
Competencies:
- To plan and conduct experiments/data-collection in a way which makes statistical treatment possible
- To write a scientific manuscript in an appropriate form
- To give an oral presentation of the idea, important results and conclusions of your research.
