Literary Realia 2+3a: The concept of karma was known in India well before the time of the Buddha. We will investigate the tranformation of the karma theory at the time of the Buddha and its further development in India, China, and Tibet and other Asian countries. Can it serve as a basis for an alternative form of ethics?
