Content
Indonesian 1 is designed
to help students develop communicative skills in modern Indonesian
at an intermediate level. Students will build on the foundation
acquired previously in the propaedeutic level through the reading,
discussion, and grammatical analysis of authentic Indonesian texts.
Translation, oral and written exercises will also be part of the
course. In addition, students will develop an understanding of the
history of Indonesian language by reading material chosen by in the
instructor and writing a paper on it.
