Write effectively, and make it more likely that your work will be accepted. This 4-day course enables you to do exactly that through
 

  • efficient writing routines
  • insights into the mechanics of a scientific paper and its various sections
  • constructive feedback from instructors and peers
  • clear syntax, correct grammar and appropriate vocabulary
  • targeted argumentation

 

Your own texts will be subject to analysis and feedback. You will experience that through active writing, you become productive and, in addition, a valuable contributor to fellow scientists’ work.

The course aims at all PhD students engaged in scientific writing. Scientists from various disciplines are welcome to attend.

Hand-outs, including programmes for each day, annotated text samples and a practical booklet with writing tools and checklists.
