Teaching and learning methods
Class teaching revolves
around class teaching and pair/group work. Oral exercises and text
reading are regular elements of the teaching. Classes are guided by
cooperative and blended learning principles that engage each
student to a maximum extent. The languages of instruction are
Japanese to continuously stimulate and develop the student’s spoken
fluency and listening comprehension, and English when discussing
grammar and, although only occasionally, translating texts. Active
involvement in class activities, a minnimum 75% attendance, as well
as timely preparation for class are prerequeisites for taking the
oral exam.
