The module aims at providing the students with the kowledge and competences necessary to understand the rationale and evidence for the design, implementation and evaluation of interventions in sport, exercise and health. A cross-disciplinary approach will be taken in order to provide students with a critical awareness of why interventions are employed, the evidence for their success, design and implementation of interventions in sport, exercise and healthcare settings, and insight into the rationale and methodology of evaluating intervention outcomes. |
Knowledge
Understand and have a critical awareness of the rationale and reported purpose of sport, exercise and healthcare interventions relating to specific populations and settings.
Provide a critical appreciation of the relationship between sport and exercise activity and intervention in a variety of participant groups.

This is a taught module with face-to-face tuition and will include group project work based upon interventions in a community setting.
