Japan Studies Content Course with Language (F26)

Bachelor courses in Japan Studies for CBS-students 2022 (adjusted in 2024 and 2025)

TThe focus of this course is twofold: 1) introducing a broad range of themes related to Japanese politics, economy and society, and 2) continuing to stimulate and learn the Japanese language from a content-based approach. The course comprises classes taught in Japanese focusing on enhancing the students’ reading and oral communication skills, and lectures in English about Japanese politics, economics, and society including relevant theories, methods, and debates.

1200 standard pages of scientific literature and 30 standard pages of material in Japanese.

Formelle faglige krav for tilmelding

It is recommended that the student has successfully completed all other components of the BA supplementary program in Japanese for CBS students.

This course requires skills corresponding to Japanese Language from Programme Curriculum for CBS students 2022

Undervisningsform

Lectures and class instruction require active student involvement. The teaching includes groupwork, presentations and discussions of academic literature, as well as reading, translation, analysis of materials in Japanese and conversations in Japanese.
