There is no vacancies on the course. It is therefore  not offered for post-registration.

The course will introduce basic concepts, theories and models in computational cognitive science. The course will cover relevant research literature in the following areas: language, learning, memory and vision. Furthermore it will introduce basic machine learning algorithms (nearest neighbor, naive Bayes, perceptron; supervised vs unsupervised learning) and their application to cognitive science problems. Throughout the course, reading groups will be responsible for presenting a research paper

Learning Outcome

The student is able to:

  • explain key concepts, problems and theories in contemporary computational research in cognitive science
  • present research literature in computational cognitive science in a clear and concise manner
