Bacheloruddannelsen i asienstudier (Indien og Sydasien) 2026

Content

The course aims at training communicative skills in Hindi-Urdu in both written and oral forms. The skills consist in communicating daily life topics at an elementary level (A2)

Structurally, there is a focus on challenging grammatical constructions--challending in as much as they differ from Danish and other European languages. A special focus is on the constructions of the verbal system that serve to communicate events and actions.

Grammatical constructions are practiced by using them in communication about a wider range of everyday topics in different formats, such as class room talks, partner exercises, presentations and creative writing.

In addition to communication based on one's own experiences on various topics, we also work with texts. Hereby there is also a focus on contrastive knowledge of the structures of the language, especially with regard to translation methods, which comprise both metaphrastic (literal) and paraphrastic (idiomatic) translation.
