Knowledge

  • Describe major health issues in developing countries such as specific diseases as well as influences due to the socio-cultural context: specific diseases, communicable as well as non-communicable, issues related to water and sanitation and sexual and reproductive health

Skills

  • Handle health provision at hospitals and health centres in developing countries.

  • Handle clinical presentation, diagnosis and treatment of major health issues as well as a number of less well known tropical diseases.

Competencies

  • Critically evaluate their own and colleagues practice in hospitals and health centers in developing countries reflect on how to ensure to avoid harm and participate in developing their own practice.
