Projektfag C på BA Informationsvidenskab og kulturformidling STO 2012
This elective course provides students with the competencies to plan and execute studies related to scholarly communication, using traditional bibliometric theories and methods (e.g., publication and citation analysis), and other methods, including social network analysis, data visualization, discourse analysis, and ‘altmetrics’. Theories, methods, tools, and indicators for science studies and research analysis are core elements of the course. The primary aim is to provide students with the skills to analyze scientific activity, quality, and communication, reflect on the reliability and validity of applied methods, and examine the effects of research policy on the scientific communication system.
