Elective Studies in Digital Communication and Aesthetics
The course Digital Strategic Communication trains the students' ability to plan a professional organization's outgoing communication strategy with the use of digital media and the inclusion of relevant theories. The module provides an overview of the digital media’s roles in various sectors of society, with special emphasis on the organization of strategic communication, and presents the digital media in their political, economic and cultural contexts, focusing on their specific and targeted applications. We study communication strategies such as storytelling and corporate branding as well as their design for dissemination through digital media. The course also introduces selected aspects of reception analysis, audience analysis and organizational analysis with particular relevance to digital media.
