  • Forberedelse:
    • læs guidelines
    • forbered præsentation
  • Præsentations workshop
    • præsentationerne afprøves
    • de studerende modtager feedback og sparring fra/med de andre deltagere samt en repræsentant fra PhD dag kommitteen og en underviser fra Institut fra Naturfagenes didaktik (Jan Søjberg).
  • PhD dagen
    • De PhD studerende afholder deres præsentationer
    • De bliver bedømt af en assessment committee bestående af assistent-, associate- og professorer på BIO (TBA). En pris for bedste præsentation uddeles i hver præsentationskategori.
    • To keynote talks af førernde internationale forskere (Christiane Nüsselein-Volhard og Andrew Baker).
    • Et karriere/komminukations oplæg afholdt af en specielt inviteret (international) ekspert på området (TBA).
    • Derudover er der aflagt tid til networking og Q&A med de tre inviterede talere under de to poster-sessions.
Learning Outcome

  • Dissemination and communication

The central aim of this PhD course is to give the participants a structured way to effectively disseminate their research through supervision from experts and peers. Participants will be working on independent projects related to their PhD projects, and focus will be on improving and developing their own research. At the end of the course, the participants must present their results either as a poster or as an oral presentation.

 

  • Networking

A secondary aim of the PhD day is to stimulate networking and novel interdisciplinary collaborations thus improving the research done at the department and teaching the PhD students to think more creatively and innovatively.

 

  • Fellowship

We further hope that the PhD Day, as a social and scientific event, will bridge the gap between research groups and sections and strengthen the spirit of community among the PhDs.

De PhD studerende der på baggrund af deres abstrakt bliver udvalgt til præsentation (talk, flash talk + poster eller poster alene) vil have guidelines for hver type præsentation til rådighed. I disse er der både punkter der skal overholdes, gode råd til hvordan de forskellige præsentationer afholdes bedst samt foreslag til yderligere materiale på området. På baggrund af disse guidelines laver de PhD studerende deres præsentation.

 

Derudover modtages en abtrakt bog med alle de PhD studerendes abstrakter i elektronisk form et par dage før PhD dagen og i fysisk form på selve PhD dagen.

Der er en række krav til formen af præsentationerne (individuelt for talks, flash talks og posters som specificeres i guidelines).
