The course will provide an introduction to infectious disease epidemiology, with focus on Denmark.

Learning Outcome

After attending the course the attendant should:

  • Have basic knowledge about frequent infectious diseases in Denmark
  • Be familiar with epidemiologic concepts related to infectious diseases
  • Be able to calculate relevant frequency and association measures
  • Be familiar with pitfalls in statistical analysis of infectious disease data
  • Be familiar with management of infectious disease outbreaks in Denmark
  • Be familiar with the Danish vaccination program
  • Be familiar with preparedness and infection control in Denmark
