Content
The participants will be taught about microsurgical instruments, ergonomics and a number of
different microsurgical standard techniques. The practicals are mainly focusing on microsurgical
suturing and anastomosis of blood vessels. This course will not include permanent cannulation.

Learning Outcome
The aim is to train the participants in basic microsurgery through theoretical and practical teaching.

The student knows
- the principles of basic microsurgery
- how to handle and work with microsurgical instruments
- about ergonomics during work with microsurgery
- about a number of different microsurgical standard techniques

Skills
The student can
- correctly handle and work with microsurgical instruments
- perform microsurgical suturing and anastomosis of blood vessels in laboratory rats
